DEHRA DUN, OCT. 1. The Uttarakhand Sanyukt Sangharsh Morcha has called for a state-wide bandh on Saturday to mark the tenth anniversary of the Rampur Tiraha atrocities on Uttarakhand activists.
The Uttarakhand Mahila Manch has decided to convert it’s relay fast seeking Gairsen as the permanent Capital into an indefinite fast from Gandhi Jayanti.
Kamla Pant, convener of the Morcha and Manch, said today that the large number of Uttarakhandis who had crusaded for the formation of the hill State were sore at the inordinate delay in punishing those guilty of atrocities at Rampur Tiraha in Muzaffarnagar district, Mussoorie, Dehra Dun, Khatima, Naini Tal and several other places during the agitation.
