The Supreme Court today gave a go-ahead to the construction of an over 138 km road adjoining the Jim Corbett National Park to connect Nainital to Dehradun.
The court, which had stayed the construction of the road which was earlier proposed to pass through the Tiger Reserve, gave the clearance after a new route passing from outside the park was drawn by a joint team of the Centre and the Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh governments.
