Dehradun (July 10): The UKD staged a sit-in in front of Dehradun SDM’s residence and promised to gherao the chief minister to protest extensive omissions in newly revised BPL lists. These omissions as well as the transcription of the list into roman characters threatens to put benefits out of the reach of many poor families. The UKD also promised to stage demonstrations across the state if these lists were not rectified.
