Seeks better opportunities for ‘sons of the soil’

The Uttarakhand Janmanch, a newly formed socio-political organisation of the state, has demanded better opportunities for the “sons of the soil” or warned of an Assam-like situation in the state in future.
The organisation claimed that the state of Uttarakhand, which had been carved out of the mother state of Uttar Pradesh for the overall development of the people living in the remote hilly areas of Kumaon and Garhwal, has lost its way in the 10 years of its existence. [more]
