UNI (2006.1.7): Probe violation of labour and drug laws at Divya Pharmacy: CITU

The CPI(M)-affiliated Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU) today demanded the intervention of both the Central and Uttaranchal governments to ensure that those responsible for violation of labour laws and the Drugs and Cosmetic Act in the Divya Pharmacy at Haridwar were brought to book.

They also demanded the immediate reinstatement of as many as 110 sacked employees of the pharmacy, who have been holding dharnas and chain hunger strike outside the plant.
