UKD releases Manifesto

DEHRADUN, 3 Feb: The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) today released its manifesto for the Vidhan Sabha election, here, today. In the manifesto it has emphasised on the issues like shifting the capital, improving the education polices of the state, inquiring into the scams and dividing the state into 23 districts.

Speaking to media persons, BD Raturi, State President of UKD, said that the party position was much strong as compared to what it was six years ago. The party had established itself as a formidable force in the state and had a better and stronger leadership. He was confident that the party had a bright chance of coming to power.

He further disclosed that the party had formed a committee at various levels in the state for administering the far of areas in the hills. Most of these areas were found too difficult to be surveyed by the political parties. He also stated the resolve to change the capital of the state to Gairsain.

When asked about the education policy of the state, he said that the present policy needed a change, so that the every person, whether rich or poor could avail the benefit of education.

He said that many parties and sections had willing extended their support to the UKD, which had further enhanced its position in the upcoming election. Raturi sounded confident of his party forming the next government and said this time it would be UKD all the way.
